The United Nations Higher Commission for Refugees, UNHCR is the leading institution in protecting and promoting the rights of refugees. ARDC has been an implementing partner of UNHCR-Israel since 2009. The U.N. has provided invaluable support to the education project via legal documentation required for applications and enrollment into higher education programs.
University of the People, UoPeople is the world’s first non-profit, tuition-free, accredited, online academic institution dedicated to opening access to higher education globally for all qualified individuals, despite financial, geographic or societal constraints. UoPeople is an excellent option for ARDC students who rely on the flexibility. With an office in Tel-Aviv, UoPeople regularly assists students with admission and registration difficulties.
Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya, IDC is a private, not-for-profit, and nonsectarian, research college in Israel. IDC offers six undergraduate and six graduate programs which follow a unique pedagogy to combine both in-class study and practical, hands-on training. A popular option for ARDC students, IDC admissions and financial services offer guidance to both applicants and caseworkers.
Microfy aims to help disadvantaged communities in Israel sustain themselves and become economically independent by developing their own sources of income. Microfy offers business courses and trainings to ARDC students.
Coursera is an online platform that offers remote courses from top universities. Under a partnership with the U.S. Department of State, "Coursera for Refugees" helps refugees receive certifications from online higher education institutions at no cost. This new initiative helps refugees around the world access educational opportunities and facilitate mutually beneficial relationships within host communities. |
